They include general information on products, life cycle assessment and additives. In addition, they are created on the basis of criteria which were developed with the involvement of independent third bodies and additionally are independently checked.
They are suitable for products that are used together with others in systems.
Type II environment labels (in accordance with ISO 14021)
Here, the criteria are freely selectable and determined by the companies or associations. They are suitable for use in marketing of individual products.
Type I environment labels (in accordance with ISO 14024)
They are based on singular criteria which are to be fulfilled. The ability to fulfill requirements only applies to one part of the market.
They are suitable for products with singular environmental relevance.
